Short description:
A portal/time management system integrating with the H.E.A.T. Helpdesk system.
Long description:
W.A.S.P. was created to solve the problem of time management. In alot of companies, timemanagement causes a huge loss of time that could otherwise be spend on customers.
W.A.S.P. was made to integrate with an existing helpdesk system called HEAT (by Frontrange). The integration connected the time spend on calls to the timesheets that employees had to fill in. By automating this process alot of time was saved.
Technical:
An apache install supplemented by PHP and Mysql was used as a front-end server. This server connected through an ODBC connection to a mssql server running on a windows 2003 server.
This channel was used to read and modify tables that were also used for the HEAT helpdesk system. The HEAT system was heavily modified with custom fields to make integration as smooth as possible.
